Explore the streets of Marrakech

Experience the vibrant city of Marrakech from a fresh perspective with this brilliant cycling tour that takes you through some of its most iconic landmarks and hidden gems. Pedalling through the city’s lively streets and quieter corners, you can find a unique blend of ancient heritage, stunning architecture, and tranquil gardens – all while enjoying the freedom that only cycling can offer.

Your cycling tour begins near the heart of the old city, as you make your way to the world-famous Jemaa el Fna, the bustling central square known for its street performers, market stalls, storytellers, and musicians. From there, you’ll cycle past the towering Koutoubia Mosque, the largest in Marrakech, and its peaceful surrounding gardens – a perfect photo opportunity and a tranquil moment amidst the city’s energy.

The route will lead you to the fascinating Saadian Tombs, a historic royal necropolis dating back to the 16th century, and the opulent Bahia Palace, where you can admire intricate tilework, carved wood ceilings, and charming inner courtyards lined with orange trees and fountains.

Continue through the maze-like medina to visit the spiritual site of Zaouia Sidi Bel Abbès, a sacred mausoleum and an important religious monument, offering insight into the spiritual life of the city. The tour also includes a stop at the serene Menara Gardens, a large olive grove with a reflecting pool set against the backdrop of the Atlas Mountains – a peaceful contrast to the city’s bustling core.

Another highlight is the famous Jardin Majorelle, a vibrant botanical garden filled with exotic plants, cobalt-blue buildings, and tranquil walkways once owned by designer Yves Saint Laurent. This spot is a feast for the eyes and a photographer’s dream.

The final leg of the tour takes you to The Palmeraie, a vast palm oasis on the outskirts of Marrakech. Here, surrounded by thousands of palm trees and a slower pace of life, you’ll enjoy a well-earned lunch and some time to relax, reflecting on the day’s discoveries.

This unforgettable cycling tour offers a fun, eco-friendly way to uncover the layers of Marrakech’s rich history, culture, and natural beauty – ideal for adventurous travellers who want to experience the city beyond the typical tourist paths.
