Guided Tour in Majorelle Garden and YSL Museum
Les Jardin Majorelle is a must-see in the afternoon. The French painter Jacques Majorelle (1886–1962) spent forty years building the magnificent gardens and Berber museum. Majorelle, an enthusiastic botanist, had plants from every continent planted in his gardens. Paul Sinoir, an architect of Cubist style and a brilliant blue mansion, had created Majorelle’s studio, which is now a museum.

The 2.5-acre garden spread out over many locations, has been open to the public since 1947. Starting in 1947, the garden welcomed the general public. In 1980, Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé purchased it. Yves Saint-Laurent spread his ashes here after his death in 2008. The Islamic Art Museum of Marrakech is located in the garden as well. Its collection includes North African fabrics that belonged to Saint-Laurent, as well as pottery, jewelry, paintings by Majorelle, and more.

You will also visit the amazing Yves Saint-Laurent Museum next door to the gardens.

You will be met at your Hotel by your English-speaking driver and depart for Skoura in the morning.

Arriving at Ait Benhaddou, one of the best-preserved Kasbahs in the Atlas region earning it a UNESCO listing. Enjoy the magnificent views out to the surrounding palmerie and beyond. From Ait Benhaddou, you will carry on towards Ouarzazate, home of Morocco’s own ‘Hollywood’ as well as the very impressive Kasbah Taourirt.

Skoura is a lush oasis surrounded by vast palm groves; it offers amazing vistas of the Atlas Mountains and bleak landscapes, which is why it is also known as the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs. It is widely recognized for its rose cultivation. The initial residents of the palm groves were the Berbers of the Haskourene tribe, and the Almohad sultan Yacoub el-Mansour set them out in the 12th century.

After breakfast, you will depart Skoura for the Sahara. Your first stop is at the Todra Gorges, one of the highlights of the South. This massive fault in the plateau divides the High Atlas from the Jebel Sarhro.

With some of the dunes in this area rising to over 245 meters, the colors of the rising and setting sun over these dunes make for a truly magical experience.
