This is a two day Atlas Mountain tour to the top of Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa.
You’ll get to enjoy some amazing parts of Morocco as you climb to the mountain’s summit. You’ll see the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch and travel the same paths as pilgrims and other adventurers along the way.
Join us with our Berber guides and mules for an attempt on Toubkal’s summit!
How To Get There And Get Back
You will be picked up from your accommodation in Marrakech city. Lots of riads do not have car access so the driver will park nearby and come to get you.
On your final day, you will be dropped off at the nearest point to your riad or hotel and our driver can call your riad to meet you if needed.
Food On The Trek
Meals during the treks are cooked by the Berber guides and muleteers and the food is fresh and healthy. For example breakfast might be jam, bread and butter, cookies, fruit, juice and coffee or milk.
Lunch may be salad with tomatoes, carrots, lentils, beans, rice or pasta. Sometimes we have fish (sardines, tuna) and seasonal fruit.
Your dinner could be soup, classic Moroccan tagine, couscous, olives and may include nuts and fruit.
Can my dietary requirements be catered for?
Absolutely. Just let us know about your catering preferences when you confirm your booking to ensure that any dietary requirements are met.
Please remind your guide and cook about your dietary requirements on the first day of the trek.
The 2 Day Toubkal Ascent is a great way to explore the famous Mount Toubkal!
Depart from your accommodation in Imlil, trek to the village of Aroumd and then onto the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch and past the pilgrims before ascending to the Toubkal Refuge (sometimes called the Neltner Refuge) for the night.
Reach the summit of the highest peak in North Africa before returning to Imlil for a comfortable night’s rest.
